Hi client,

I wanted to let you know about a new security feature released on your personal financial management website today. 

Today we released 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) which adds an additional layer of security to your client portal by requiring two methods of verifying your identity: your username and a verification code sent to your mobile device.

Ready to enroll? Sign into your client website and follow these steps:  

  1. Enter your mobile phone number on your Client Site login page
  2. Enter the verification code that’s been sent to your mobile phone into your Client Website login screen
  3. Type in your Recovery Phone number – this will be used in case your primary phone number is lost, or otherwise unavailable
  4. Login to your Client Website with confidence 

If you'd prefer to forego this security protocol, you can skip this step for now.

Why are we adding it your website?

We're dedicated to ensuring the security of your financial information. 2FA strengthens the security of your account, and protects your information from cyber criminals.

Do I have to enroll in 2FA?

You can skip the 2FA for now, but it will become mandatory mid-June.

What else changes in June? 

Two things will change in June:

  1. A new "smart" security option will be added to 2FA that only initiates the second security measure when it identifies high risk behavior. Allowing advisor and clients to choose between Standard (Smart) or High (Mandatory). 
  2. Users will no longer be able to skip 2FA enrollment.
